Integrative Parts Coaching

A Somatic Pathway from Physical Practice to Inner Leadership

Mind · Body · Presence

Welcome. In these sessions, we bring together mind, body and presence through a blend of Internal Family Systems (IFS), yoga-informed movement and somatic awareness. This work offers a way to explore your inner landscape through both understanding and felt experience. supporting you in loosening old patterns, unburdening what has been carried for too long, and fostering a more connected and easeful relationship with yourself.

What is IFS?

Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a therapeutic framework that understands our inner world as being made up of multiple “parts” — each with its own perspective, feelings, memories and roles. These parts may include protective voices (often called “managers”), reactive voices (sometimes “firefighters”), and wounded voices (“exiles”) that carry old pain.

Rather than pathologising or suppressing them, IFS invites us to get curious about these parts — to understand what they are trying to do, what they protect, and what they carry — and to foster more trust, collaboration and integration between them.

At the centre of the system is the Self: a calm, steady, compassionate presence that can lead the inner world with clarity and care..

After several sessions, you may begin to experience…

  • A greater sense of freedom: parts feel known, acknowledged, and no longer hold as much rigid grip on your life.

  • A clearer distinction between your Self and your parts — meaning you’re less “at the mercy” of inner voices and more able to lead from your core.

  • More attunement to the body and how your inner world shows up in physical, energetic and mental form.

  • Increased capacity to navigate your inner polarities (for example the part that wants rest vs the part that wants productivity), and to bring them into harmony rather than conflict.

  • A deeper, embodied sense of self-leadership: you live from your heart, your body, your system, rather than only your mind.

  • How I Integrate IFS with Yoga & Somatic Work

In my approach, we deepen the experience of IFS by exploring parts not only cognitively, but also through the felt sense of the body and its patterns. This adds a physical and presence-based dimension to the work, allowing you to meet your parts with greater embodiment, ease and awareness — and to begin creating new pathways of connection, healing and inner leadership.

We explore your system through three interconnected layers:

    Physical space (the body)

Gentle somatic practices, yoga-informed movement, breathwork and embodied awareness help us sense where parts express themselves through tension, posture, energy, reactivity or holding.
This allows you to soften long-held patterns, release embodied stories, and bring your system out of old protective responses and into the present moment.

    Presence-based space (the subtle layer)

We explore the subtler qualities of your system — shifts in tone, pacing, activation, withdrawal, openness — noticing how parts move, respond or protect beneath the surface.
This helps your system feel seen and understood at a deeper level, offering parts the safety to relax, reorganise and begin unburdening what they’ve carried.

    Mental space (the cognitive layer)

Here we map your parts, explore beliefs, notice patterns, and understand the roles each part plays.
This clarity creates spaciousness: a chance to rewrite old narratives, interrupt limiting loops, and choose responses that reflect who you are now — not who you had to be in the past.

By weaving these three layers together, we give your system the chance not only to understand itself, but to heal: to loosen old protections, reconnect with Self, and create new pathways of presence, choice and inner stability.

  • In our sessions we might explore:

    • Limiting mind-patterns: the way your inner system runs, protects, judges, repeats.

    • Body-based restrictions: the ways your body may show up as tense, disconnected, habitual, resourcing-starved or stuck.

    • Energy dynamics: polarities, inner conflict, parts that clash or suppress one another, and how energy moves (or doesn’t) in your system.

    • Self-leadership: connecting with your core Self, cultivating its qualities of calm, clarity, compassion, courage, creativity and connectedness.

We invite the “managers” (the ones who keep things organised, safe, efficient), the “firefighters” (those reactive parts that jump in when things feel overwhelming), and gently attend to the “exiles” (the wounded, hidden parts) — all in a way that is safe, respectful and paced. The aim is to gradually unburden the system, restore trust between parts, and allow your Self to lead your inner world.

  • Here’s a rough flow of how a session might unfold:

    1. We begin with a check-in: how you are in body, energy, mind; what’s showing up.

    2. We might do a brief somatic exercise or yoga-inspired movement to ground into the body and tune into sensation and energy.

    3. We shift into the parts-work: locating a part (or parts) that are active, curious about what they are doing, how they feel in the body/energy, what they believe, what they carry.

    4. We invite Self-presence: you rest in your core space, and from there engage the part with curiosity & compassion.

    5. We map and explore the relationships between parts (how they interact, protect, polarise).

    6. We gently begin the process of unburdening: helping parts release old beliefs, energies or patterns they’re carrying, and inviting new, healthy roles to emerge.

    7. We close with integration: we may bring you back into embodied awareness (movement, breath), and anchor any new insight, feeling, energy. We also look ahead: what is emerging for you, what you might resource between sessions.

Sessions can take place online (so you can join from wherever you are) or in-studio at **Atelier 108 in London.

Is this for you?

This work is for you if you feel:

  • You’re constantly running, managing, organising, and you’d love to slow down enough to sense what’s really going on beneath the surface.

  • Your body carries tension, restriction or stories you haven’t yet been able to speak.

  • You recognise recurring mind-patterns or energy-loops that keep you stuck (for example “I must do it all”, or “If I slow down I’ll fail”, or “My body lets me down”).

  • You’re ready to deepen the connection between your mind, body and spirit, and to live more from your heart and embodied Self.

  • You’re open to exploring your inner landscape courageously, compassionately and with an adult-to-adult presence — not shaming the parts, not ignoring them, but befriending them.

Next steps

If you’re curious and you’d like to see whether this is the right fit for you:

  • Reach out via the contact form or email (as you already do) and let me know you’re interested in “IFS-informed coaching”.

  • We’ll schedule a short discovery call, where we’ll meet (online or in-person), explore what’s showing up for you, clarify what you most want to work on, and see how the three-dimensional IFS approach might serve you.

  • From there we’ll decide together whether to move into a full coaching container (number of sessions to be determined) and whether you prefer online or in-studio at Atelier 108.

Often what draws us toward this kind of inner work is a longing — sometimes subtle, sometimes clear — to understand ourselves more deeply, to meet the parts we've been carrying for so long, and to offer them the presence they may have never received.

This work is not about becoming someone different, but becoming more present with who you already are: noticing how your parts move through your body, your breath, and your emotional landscape, and learning to meet them with steadiness and compassion.

Together, we create a space where your whole system can be gently guided by your own Self-leadership — where all your parts are welcomed, included, and met with the care, understanding and honouring they’ve always deserved.
